Phillipsburg Man Faces Charges for Manufacturing Firearms with 3D Printer, According to Prosecutor

A Phillipsburg man is accused of illegally manufacturing a firearm with a 3D printer, the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office said Tuesday.

Investigators tipped off about the gun executed a search warrant Monday at the home of 40-year-old Michael Weaver in the 300 block of Center Street, according to a news release from prosecutor’s office Acting Chief of Detectives Brenton Warne.

During the warrant service, Phillipsburg police with the prosecutor’s office and Warren County Tactical Response Team seized the manufactured 9mm handgun, two 3D printers and thousands of rounds of multi-caliber ammunition, as well as equipment to manufacture this type of ammo, the release states.
