Greeley’s Aims to Launch Exciting 3D-Construction Course This October!

Aims Community College in Greeley is preparing to offer a three-day course on three-dimensional concrete printing from October 17 to 19. This innovative course will teach students how to operate a robot capable of creating 3D-printed structures such as homes and infrastructure.

Participants will engage in hands-on experiences including lectures and demonstrations focused on operating and troubleshooting the construction robot. The course involves practical tasks such as sketching, robotic manipulation, and code generation, all conducted in a lab environment that mimics a real construction site, ensuring students come prepared with hard hats, safety glasses, and vests.

Before enrolling in the in-person class, students must complete an online introductory course. The overall cost for the prerequisite and three-day lab is set at $1,350, with the three-day lab alone priced at $1,100, while the prerequisite course costs $250. This online course is self-paced and available monthly.

This upcoming class is the second in a series developed in partnership with Alquist LLC, a startup that relocated to Greeley in 2023, following a $4 million incentive package from local and state authorities.
