MPS Students Showcase Innovation in 3D Printed Shoe Design Competition

Milwaukee Public Schools students are showcasing their creativity in a unique 3D Shoe Printing Contest, organized by the AntetokounBros Deer District Store. This local competition is aimed at inspiring students with a passion for fashion, allowing them to design their own sneakers and bring them to life through 3D printing technology.

Nemo Ruparel, the store director and a Milwaukee native, is eager to give back to the community. He emphasizes the importance of opportunities for youth and the exciting initiatives that continue to emerge. The contest rules are straightforward: students can work individually or in groups to create their shoe designs, which will then be printed as miniature-sized shoes.

The designs produced will be judged and prizes will be awarded, adding an extra level of excitement to the event. In addition to being showcased, the winning designs will also be submitted to a digital sneaker museum, giving the students a platform to present their innovative concepts.

This event not only promotes creativity among students but also strengthens partnerships between local businesses and schools.
