Initially struggling with social interactions due to autism and epilepsy, Reece found that launching his venture helped him develop his confidence and communication skills. Reece’s journey began at the age of 15 when his family gifted him a 3D printer to cultivate his passion for model skyscrapers. Inspired by his love for iconic buildings like the Burj Khalifa and The Shard, he began creating models to compare their sizes. As his skills improved, he expanded his offerings beyond skyscrapers to include products that aid individuals with health issues, such as accessories for hearing aids and communication tools for non-verbal children.
Earning about £17,000 annually, Reece ships his products as far as Chicago. The business has not only increased his social interactions through client communication and social media promotion but has also introduced him to aspects of humor that he previously struggled with, such as banter and sarcasm.
His father, Thomas, played a key role initially by assisting in setting up the printers but has since taken on different responsibilities. Reece now operates four printers at home, working tirelessly to meet demand, even balancing his college commitments. This success has boosted his local reputation, and he has become known for his engaging presence online, having to practice repeatedly before becoming comfortable in front of the camera.
