Exciting Developments in Mechanicsburg: 3D Print Store Grand Opening, Downtown Barbershop Relocation, and Tattoo Parlor Expansion!

After spending several years vending at Capital City Mall in Camp Hill, David Everhart, the owner and CEO of Katsu’s Dojo 3D, has opened a new storefront in Mechanicsburg. Located at 123 E. Main St., the grand opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, showcasing a range of products like 3D printed mini-creatures and intricate designs, including crystal dragons.

Everhart founded Katsu’s Dojo 3D in 2022, starting with a single 3D printer. By the end of that year, he had debuted at the Capital City Mall. His presence grew in 2023, participating in vendor events and renting shelf space in local stores.

After operating from his two-bedroom apartment and expanding to 16 printers and inventory, he sought a larger space for his business. Mechanicsburg was chosen for its proximity to existing customers frequenting Capital City Mall, which made it a strategic location.

Expanding Local Business Landscape

Another addition to downtown Mechanicsburg is The Craft Barber & Co., which relocated to 35 W. Main St. in December. Owner Sarah Stonebraker aims to provide a cozy atmosphere while offering various grooming services and modern hairstyle trends.

Furthermore, True Self Tattoo has expanded its operations at its existing location on 20 W. Main St., adding a fourth station to accommodate increasing walk-ins. Owner Dustin Deimler opened the tattoo parlor in April 2023 and responded swiftly to the demand for more services.

These changes reflect a vibrant business environment in Mechanicsburg, with Everhart planning to further expand his events business and product offerings while his neighbors enhance their client services.
