Aerospace 3D-Printing Company Set to Create Nearly 400 Jobs in the Region

An out-of-state aerospace company specializing in 3D printing technology is considering the Denver metropolitan area for its new headquarters and first manufacturing facility, potentially creating nearly 400 high-paying jobs. The Colorado Economic Development Commission has proposed over $5.85 million in tax incentives, aiming to attract the company, referred to as Project SkyForge, which is also exploring options in Kansas and Missouri.

Michelle Hadwiger, deputy director of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), highlighted the company’s focus on accessing top aerospace talent and the cost of doing business as key factors in their decision-making process. Currently, Project SkyForge operates with four employees who are located outside of Colorado.

The significant incentive package is contingent upon the company generating 392 net new jobs, with an average annual wage of $130,867. Hadwiger emphasized that welcoming such a high-skilled and well-paying employer would enhance Colorado’s manufacturing landscape, drive technological advancements, and support sustainable economic growth in the aerospace sector.
