By partnering with Prusa Research and LePub, Philips plans to host the 3D printing plans on Printables.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, there are some limitations\u2014such as the quality of the printed parts being dependent on the materials and the general accessibility of 3D printers, as not everyone owns one. However, local libraries or maker spaces may provide access to such technology.<\/p>\n<p>Fixables is launching first in the Czech Republic, where Prusa Research is based. This initial rollout includes just one part plan: a comb attachment for the OneBlade trimmer. The program&#8217;s website indicates plans for additional parts are in development and allows users to request specific components they wish to be able to print.<\/p>\n<p>While this initiative is still in its infancy, it represents a significant step towards utilizing 3D printing as a method for enhancing sustainability in product usage.
