In an exclusive interview with Filippos Voulpiotis, Managing Director of 3Dnatives, Zeif addressed critical issues such as the influence of U.S. tariffs, the rapid expansion of the Asian market, and the growing importance of additive manufacturing (AM) in advanced manufacturing. He also shared insights on how the current challenges could be turned into opportunities for the industry.<\/p>\n

Stratasys is focusing on providing high-quality industrial solutions to support professionals while enhancing performance and reliability. At RAPID + TCT, the company unveiled its new Neo\u00ae800+ machine, which aims to set a new standard for large-format resin 3D printing.<\/p>\n

The Foundations of Industrial AM: Prototyping, Tooling, and Production<\/h3>\n

In the interview, Zeif detailed Stratasys\u2019 long-term strategy and its latest product launch, the Neo\u00ae800+ SLA machine, which is an upgrade to the original Neo\u00ae800. This launch aligns with Stratasys\u2019 approach to meet current market demands for improved production quality and cost efficiency.<\/p>\n

Zeif identified three key areas within the AM sector: prototyping, tooling, and end-use part manufacturing. Industrial companies seek reliability, quality, and financial savings through innovations in materials and processes, ultimately enabling users to execute their projects effectively.<\/p>\n

Introducing the Neo\u00ae800+ Large-Format SLA 3D Printer<\/h3>\n

Stratasys designed the Neo\u00ae800+ SLA 3D printer<\/a> to address user challenges in producing high-quality, precise 3D printed parts for prototyping and tooling. Traditional SLA printers often fall short, leading to inaccuracies that require extensive post-processing, increasing both time and costs.<\/p>\n

The Neo\u00ae800+ offers a substantial print volume of 800 x 800 x 600 mm, and a powerful 4W laser. It achieves scanning speeds of up to 20 m\/s (790 in\/s) with a layer resolution ranging from 50 to 200 \u00b5m, facilitating higher productivity and better part fidelity. This machine includes advanced features like ScanControl+ technology and High Detail (HD) mode, which enable customization of laser power, motion, and focus. These advancements allow the Neo\u00ae800+ to operate at scanning speeds up to 50% faster than its predecessor without compromising quality.<\/p>\n

The printer supports Somos resins, such as Somos WaterShed XC +, qualified for ScanControl+ technology, and is compatible with other commercially available 355 nm resins. Furthermore, the Stratasys Neo Titanium software provides efficient SLA build control through a user-friendly interface, complemented by robust reporting functions developed from customer feedback. Safety mechanisms, such as Z-Stage Collision Detection and real-time monitoring of temperature and humidity, enhance reliability and performance, suggesting potential increases in yield and productivity compared to the Neo\u00ae800.<\/p>\n

This comprehensive approach positions the Neo\u00ae800+ as a benchmark for high-speed, large-format stereolithography suitable for industrial applications, ensuring dependability and consistent results.<\/p>\n
