{"id":50,"date":"2024-07-29T21:02:28","date_gmt":"2024-07-29T21:02:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/3dprintingservices.com\/blog\/roboze-3d-printing-technology-revolutionizes-spare-part-production-at-hitachi-rail-facilities\/"},"modified":"2025-05-05T17:57:55","modified_gmt":"2025-05-05T17:57:55","slug":"roboze-3d-printing-technology-revolutionizes-spare-part-production-at-hitachi-rail-facilities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/3dprintingservices.com\/blog\/roboze-3d-printing-technology-revolutionizes-spare-part-production-at-hitachi-rail-facilities\/","title":{"rendered":"Roboze 3D Printing Transforms Spare Part Production at Hitachi"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hitachirail.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><strong>Hitachi Rail<\/strong><\/a> is using a<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tctmagazine.com\/topics\/roboze\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><strong>ROBOZE<\/strong><\/a> ARGO 500 3D printing system\u00a0to produce spare parts at its Naples facility, with another to be installed at its\u00a0new Washington County rail car factory.<\/p>\n<p>The rail company is using materials such as ULTEM 9085 and Carbon PEEK to 3D print solutions that help address the cost and availability challenges associated with the production of spare parts.<\/p>\n<p>By integrating ROBOZE 3D printing technology, Hitachi Rail is replacing traditionally machined metal parts and has reported &#8216;significant&#8217; cost and delivery times\u00a0reductions.<\/p>\n<p>The relationship between the two companies also understood to extend beyond the supply of machines, with ROBOZE also providing engineering and consultancy services in the US and Italy to ensure &#8216;continuous and highly specialised support.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Hitachi Rail will soon open its state-of-the-art rail car factory in Washington County, Maryland, with the 70m USD factory\u00a0set to deliver the new fleet of 8000-series railcars for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wmata.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority<\/a> as its first order. The company says this facility will draw on the wider Hitachi Group\u2019s technological expertise to be its most advanced digital site.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur partnership with ROBOZE underlines our commitment to delivering advanced, high-quality manufacturing for our customers.
