This innovative project was part of the e-NABLE project, a community initiative that focuses on 3D-printed prosthetics for those in need.<\/p>\n<p>In December, the students surprised Kaysen with his new arm, which has made his daily activities easier. Kaysen expressed joy and gratitude, stating, &quot;Using it makes everything a little more easier.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Laura Hayden, the school\u2019s STEAM coordinator, guided the students throughout the design and assembly process. The project not only showcased the students\u2019 technical abilities but also highlighted the importance of accessibility, as traditional prosthetics can cost thousands of dollars. The joy of Kaysen was palpable; he was seen running around, picking things up, and even engaging with his classmates, who eagerly sought high fives.<\/p>\n<p>The prosthetic arm was designed to be adjustable so it can grow alongside Kaysen, ensuring it remains functional for years to come. Senior Abigail Glynn, one of the students involved, noted how quickly Kaysen adapted to using his new arm, emphasizing the immediate positive impact it had on his life.
