In Banfield, Buenos Aires, Ciro Joaquín Boggiano, a 12-year-old boy, is turning his curiosity into a thriving business. Inspired by a 3D printer he saw in action, Ciro proclaimed, “I want one of those,” marking the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey.
With determination, Ciro followed through on his dream by teaching himself how to use the technology through online tutorials. He saved every penny from birthday gifts and even sold handmade bracelets to accumulate the necessary funds to purchase his own 3D printer. His efforts soon paid off.
Once he acquired the printer, Ciro launched an Instagram account (@printer.3d.cb) to start taking orders from friends and family. Initially a hobby, his side project quickly evolved into a small business, complete with live demonstrations of his creations.
Ciro expressed the joy he finds in the creative process, stating, “Starting a project from scratch and seeing the finished product, just as good as – or better than – you imagined it.” He plans to expand his business, offering customized pieces while continuing to learn and grow.
Currently, most of his work comes from acquaintances, but Ciro is eager to accept more made-to-order projects. His journey portrays that passion and creativity can flourish at any age, demonstrating that sometimes innovative ideas can indeed be printed in 3D.
